Annual Conference on Thousand Cankers Disease and Emerald Ash Borer in the Eastern United States

Hosted by the University of Tennessee Department of Entomology and Plant Pathology, USDA APHIS and the Tennessee Department of Agriculture

This conference focuses on helping the general public, pest control personnel, master gardeners, and forest managers better understand these new pests. Both were firest detected in July 2010 in Knox County, TN - one attacks and kills black walnut and the other ash. Ongoing survey and research efforts, and management techniques including biocontrol efforts, are presented. Other exotic forest pests that are potential issues, including Sirex Wood Wasp, the Asian Long horned Beetle and the European Gypsy Moth, are also discussed.

2014 Conference will be held December 10 - 12
at Hollingsworth Auditorium, UT Knoxville
